Taught high school math & physics for 9 years at East Meck, South Meck, and Community School of Davidson. Tutored privately since I was in the 10th grade. Over the years, I've learned that the fastest way to learn mathematics is through conversation. Rather than doing problem after problem, my sessions involve discussing ideas of increasing complexity while we complete examples as a team. It's incredibly efficient, and as a result my students have always done fine on their AP exams even though I assign virtually zero homework. In my experience, students master new ideas 5x faster through 1on1 conversation than they do from lectures and textbook assignments.
